About the role

We are seeking LPNs and/or RNs for St. Louis city and county to work in our Private Duty Nursing/Pediatric Nursing program. They may choose to accompany a child with medical needs (typically a seizure disorder, feeding tube, trach and/or vent) to school and/or help the child during evenings, weekends, and other times school is not in session.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to clients with medical needs
• Accompany children with medical needs to school and other activities
• Help clients during evenings, weekends, and other non-school hours
• Work with clients to achieve their highest possible independence level
• Complete medication set-ups, assessments, openings, discharges, and supervisory visits
• Create flexible schedules based on individual preferences
• Build care plans with input from clients, their families, and nurses
• Share updates with families and referral sources
• Assist clients with daily living activities as independently as possible

Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior experience as an LPN or RN
• Knowledge, patience, and determination for the demanding nature of the job
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Committed to providing high-quality care

Qualifications

• Current certification as an LPN or RN
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Passing scores on background checks for Missouri and Illinois
