Physical Therapist - Inpatient - Per Diem - Flex - MRHS

About the role

Evaluates and treats patient populations for physical therapy needs at Memorial Rehabilitation Institute, which provides specialized care for complex multiple trauma, stroke, brain injury, and pediatric developmental diagnoses, as well as physical and speech therapy across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and long-term care settings.

Responsibilities

• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Provides information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources.
• Plans or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Designs and implements a plan of care appropriate to identified issues, required frequency of treatments, and involving the patient and family.
• Supervises activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.

Education And Certification Requirements

• Accredited Program: Physical Therapy (Required)
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) – American Heart Association
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) – American Heart Association
• BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) – Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) – Red Cross
• Physical Therapist License (PT LICENSE) – State of Florida
