Physical Therapist - Inpatient

About the role

A Physical Therapist specializing in patient rehabilitation, movement assessment, and therapeutic interventions. Collaborates with a team to deliver hands-on care, patient education, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatric and adult populations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using a variety of therapeutic techniques to restore physical function and address developmental disorders.
• Oversee comprehensive rehabilitation programs that promote physical, psychosocial, and environmental well-being.
• Coordinate and communicate with multidisciplinary teams to meet discharge goals and ensure continuity of care.
• Advocate for patients and promote self-determination by optimizing resource utilization.
• Perform assessments and treatments for pediatric patients from birth to 18 years, with flexibility to float to adult units as needed.
• Interpret data, understand regulations, and utilize basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
• Current New Mexico Physical Therapy License or provisional/temporary license accepted.
• Less than one year of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• BLS certification at hire.
