Role Overview As a Physical Therapist, you will enhance patient quality of life through hands-on care, education, and prescribed movement within an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will evaluate and treat patients of all ages, including pediatrics, using a variety of therapeutic interventions to improve physical function and developmental outcomes. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, patient advocacy, and discharge planning are key responsibilities. You will oversee comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and optimal well-being. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan, including pediatric and adult populations.Interpret clinical data and develop personalized rehabilitation plans.Coordinate care efforts with other healthcare professionals and discharge planning.Promote patient and caregiver self-determination and resource utilization.Ensure compliance with setting-specific rules and regulations.Possibly float to adult units if needed for pediatric patient census fluctuations. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree required; Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.New Mexico Physical Therapy license or provisional/temporary license required.Less than one year of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.Basic computer skills and knowledge of regulations necessary.BLS certification at hire.
