Physical Therapist I, Correctional Facility - Mule Creek State Prison

Position: Physical Therapist I, CF – Part Time (4/5 Time, .80) – 32 hours per week at Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP) in Ione, CA (Amador County). Main communication for this position will be through email.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatments, including active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatments to patients in a correctional facility.
• Interpret the significance of physical therapy services to patients.
• Comply with all applicable State and federal laws, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures pertaining to the physical therapy program.
• Maintain order and supervise the conduct of incarcerated individuals to ensure the safety of persons and property and the security of working areas and materials.

Pay

The monthly salary range for this position is $4,568.00 to $6,777.60. Effective July 1, 2025, salaries are subject to a 3% base salary reduction under the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025), with employees receiving 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Part-time employees are subject to these conditions on a prorated basis.
