About the role

Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center is dedicated to providing exceptional rehabilitation services. We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Completes screening process of all patients.
• Evaluates and treats patients as referred by an approved referral source.
• Documents progress towards identified physical therapy objectives.
• Communicates patient status and needs to the patient, family, relevant staff members, and other professionals involved in the care plan.
• Integrates therapist's role into the patient care team.
• Provides education, guidance, and support to other health care professionals and the general community regarding physical therapy.
• Makes appropriate referrals to other members of the rehabilitative team.
• Develops and implements new programs/techniques to enhance physical therapy services and facility utilization.
• Adheres to established facility policies and procedures related to environmental safety, orderliness, risk management, infection control, and emergency situations.
• Maintains awareness of issues related to the profession of physical therapy and the healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• At least two years of previous work experience as a Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain an efficient work schedule with a high level of productivity.
• Ability to utilize problem-solving skills to work with patients, families, staff members, and other team members to aid in providing high-quality care.
• Ability to operate general office equipment including computer software applications (e-mail, surveillance equipment/cameras).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possesses advanced active listening skills, including seeking clarification when in doubt and requesting feedback when needed.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees, and administration.
