Physical Therapist - Full-time

About the role

Fairhill is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Physical Therapists play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent treatment during some of the most vulnerable moments of patients' lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Promote continuous quality improvement
• Teach and counsel patients and families
• Set goals and develop treatment plans
• Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs
• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and PT/PTA students
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens
• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as needed
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment
