Physical Therapist / Full-time

About the role

Regency Hospital - Macon is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Physical Therapists (PTs) are integral in offering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Performing initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients and families.
• Setting goals and developing treatment plans.
• Working cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
• Participating in discharge planning, including patient/family education and adaptive equipment placement.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and PT and PTA students.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitoring patient responses to treatment and modifying treatment plans during sessions as needed.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment required.

Qualifications

• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teaching abilities.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.

Pay

• $35.00 to $51.00 per hour.
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000.

Schedule

• Full-Time - Monday through Friday (No Weekends!)
