About the role

Plans, organizes, and delivers physical therapy programs to help clients recover and improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. Conducts examinations, evaluations, and interventions for individuals affected by injury or disease, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques while following safeguards. Documents client information for evaluation, establishes and modifies therapeutic plans as necessary, and educates clients and their families about treatment plans and home exercises.

Demonstrates knowledge of age-related treatments and current research, adhering to clinical practice guidelines. May treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders. Supervises assistants, aides, and students as needed and provides ongoing education and training to peers. Interacts with providers, case managers, third-party payers, and other external entities. Performs other duties as requested by management.

Based on facility needs, may focus on post-acute, long-term care, and home health care environments.

Responsibilities

  • Document client information and treatment progress in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Educate clients and families about treatment plans and home exercises.
  • Utilize age-appropriate treatments and evidence-based practices.
  • Supervise assistants, aides, and students in client care.
  • Provide ongoing education and training to peers in areas of expertise.
  • Interact with external entities such as providers, case managers, and third-party payers.
  • Adhere to clinical practice guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Exhibit flexibility with variable work schedules and assignments.

Requirements

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice.
  • Valid driver’s license, when applicable.
  • Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.

Pay

Salary range: $37.50 - $62.00 per hour.

$10,000 sign-on bonus (eligibility requirements apply).

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • 8-hour day shifts
  • 40 hours per week
