Physical Therapist Float - Outpatient

Role Overview

Seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (float) to provide outpatient services across multiple locations. Responsible for evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. Collaborates with healthcare teams, participates in program development, and mentors staff and students. Ensures patient-centered care, effective communication, and timely documentation to support seamless access to therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations, review history, perform assessments, and communicate findings to patients and families.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation results, adjusting care as needed, and consult with other professionals.
• Complete discharge planning and thorough documentation of patient progress and care activities.
• Manage time efficiently, maintain productivity, and demonstrate flexibility and empathy in patient interactions.
• Pursue continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and assist with staff orientation and mentoring.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia as required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
