Physical Therapist- Flat Rate PRN

IU Health is seeking a dynamic Physical Therapist to join our team in an inpatient setting at Riley Hospital in downtown Indianapolis. Shift

Flat Rate PRN Day shift – mix of week and weekend requirements. 1 holiday weekend and 1 holiday day per year.

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy or a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in physical therapy prior to 2016 (if foreign trained, must have educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA)
• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide supplemental coverage on weekends (and weekdays if available when there is a need) in a high acuity, fast-paced environment with varying diagnoses (ortho, trauma, gen surg, burn, complex care/developmental peds, neurosurgery/neuro, etc)
• Ages 0 to 21+
• Restore function, reduce pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury
• Assists patients to reach maximum performance levels
• Supervise physical therapist assistants, support personnel, and students
• Participate in related activities in support of patient care, education, and department operations
