Physical Therapist ~ PT Role Overview: The Physical Therapist conducts individualized assessments, develops and implements treatment plans, and educates patients to optimize functional recovery. They collaborate with healthcare teams, document evaluations and progress, and ensure adherence to standards of care, safety, and infection control. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, evaluate needs, and adjust care plans for optimal outcomes.Design and implement personalized therapy programs involving significant others when appropriate.Supervise support staff to meet patient goals.Communicate effectively with team members and maintain accurate documentation.Participate in ongoing professional development and serve as a resource for community physical therapy initiatives.Ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and organizational policies, including HIPAA and infection control.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an APTA-approved physical therapy program.Current state license to practice.At least one year of experience as a physical therapy aide.Knowledge of caring for diverse age groups and ability to handle emergency situations calmly.Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently, maintain professionalism, and foster teamwork.
