Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore patient function
• Plans individualized therapy programs for each patient
• Directs and aids in implementing therapy programs
• Evaluates, records, and reports patients’ progress
• Assists in continual monitoring and assessment of Physical Therapy Department functions

Work Settings

Required to function on a rotation system through inpatient, outpatient, nursing home, home health, rehabilitation, and corrections patient areas (as necessary).

Supervision

Intermittently supervises physical therapy assistants, physical therapy aides, students, and volunteers.
