About The Opportunity
A well-established rehabilitation and long-term care organization is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist to join our clinical team. We are committed to providing high-quality, resident-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, stretching, and rehabilitation equipment.
- Educate residents and families regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations.
- Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Ensure proper and safe use of therapy equipment.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements.
- Follow infection-control policies and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive resident care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current New York State Physical Therapist License.
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing exceptional resident care.
