Physical Therapist

About the Role

This is a full-time position at our Wendover, Utah Clinic. The Physical Therapist will provide, manage, and plan direct physical therapy healthcare for a specified patient population, reporting to the Physical Therapy Director.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage compassionate, patient-centered care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
• Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
• Motivate patients during treatment to help them function optimally.
• Consult and practice with other health professionals.
• Direct and coordinate patient physical therapy treatment activities.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides.
• Maintain accurate patient records of history and activities regarding therapy treatment.
• Stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy.
• Comply with all applicable state/federal laws, rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Adhere to Sacred Circle Healthcare policies, procedures, Code of Conduct, and Mission and Values Statements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Valid Utah Physical Therapy License.
• Interest in working with underserved and tribal populations in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Well-rounded clinical skills with the ability to handle all ages and a full range of diagnoses.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of physical therapy-related experience.
• Experience or familiarity with pain neuroscience education (PNE).
• Interest in persistent/chronic pain.
• Experience working with the Native American community.

Skills

• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of care.
• Familiarity with pain neuroscience education (PNE).
• Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
• Understanding of organizational policies, procedures, systems, and objectives.
• Critical thinking and reasoning that values patient education.

Schedule

30 to 40 hours per week, typically 3–4 shifts per week (Monday through Friday). Schedule to be determined based on operational needs.
