About the role

Regency Olympia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a 28-bed skilled nursing facility with a homelike vibe and family atmosphere. We are seeking a caring and compassionate Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, organize, and administer physical therapy services in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. This role ensures the highest degree of quality care while maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with all disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and administer physical therapy services to patients.
• Support Occupational/Physical Therapist Assistants through training and guidance to enhance patient care.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all treatments provided.
• Develop realistic, documented treatment goals aligned with referring medical staff.
• Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on patient evaluations.
• Administer manual exercises, soft tissue mobilization, and therapeutic procedures.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in physical activities, functional ambulation, daily-living activities, and use of assistive devices (e.g., crutches, canes, prostheses).
• Record treatment, patient response, and progress in charts or automated systems.
• Instruct patients and families in home treatment procedures.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending modifications as needed.
• Coordinate treatment with physicians and other staff members to integrate physical therapy with overall patient care.
• Communicate with referring physicians regarding patient care concerns.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution or a Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of employment.
