Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our Sports Medicine team and play a key role in the rehabilitation and return-to-play of elite professional athletes.
What You'll Do
- Provide physical therapy services for Racing Louisville FC players.
- Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate musculoskeletal injuries.
- Develop and oversee individualized rehabilitation and return-to-play programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning staff, and other medical professionals to coordinate player care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within the League's electronic medical record system.
- Monitor player progress and communicate recommendations to the Team Medical Staff.
- Support injury prevention initiatives and return-to-play programming.
- Provide medical support during team training sessions, home matches, and select away travel.
- Ensure compliance with NWSL medical standards, League policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable professional requirements.
- Complete League reporting requirements and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
- Current Physical Therapy license in good standing with the ability to obtain Kentucky licensure prior to employment.
- Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Residency training in Sports Physical Therapy or a closely related specialty.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience working with elite-level athletes (professional, collegiate, Olympic, or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
- Soccer-specific experience.
- Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
- NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES).
- NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES).
