About the role
This position involves providing skilled physical therapy services, including screening, testing, diagnosing, and treating injuries, diseases, and disabilities in accordance with professional standards. The therapist collaborates with care teams, educates patients and caregivers, and manages patient care to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provides evaluation, treatment plans, and interventions based on diagnosis and patient needs.
- Maintains thorough documentation, billing accuracy, and adheres to productivity standards.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to facilitate optimal care.
- Supervises staff, assistants, and students to uphold care quality.
- Engages in ongoing education, quality improvement, and program development activities.
- Participates in meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration to support care goals.
Qualifications
- Current physical therapy license and BLS certification.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and care planning skills.
- Experience with target patient populations and computer proficiency.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to read and operate equipment, assist with patient transfers, and perform manual tasks.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting to support patient care.
