About the role

Pillar High School is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support and supervise daily operations by ensuring the school building and grounds remain safe, clean, and fully functional.

This role plays an important part in creating a supportive environment for students with disabilities and the staff who serve them. This is a temporary, leave coverage position from September 2026 through February 2027. (We are seeking a qualified professional for a 6 -month contract position with the potential for full-time hire based on performance and school's needs.)

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and monitors high-quality therapy programs for individual therapy sessions.
  • Designs, fabricates, adjusts or makes minor repairs to therapeutic equipment for individual students; suggests and monitors provision of appropriate assistive technology.
  • Develops educationally relevant IEP goals and objectives; completes daily notes
  • Works collaboratively with professional staff using a team-based approach.
  • Provides supervision, guidance, and assistance to classroom aides and one-to-one nurses.
  • Collaborates closely with families to support the students.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
  • New Jersey license as a Physical Therapist.
  • Certification by State of New Jersey as a school Physical Therapist, and fingerprint examination and approval.

Pay

Salary: $70,000.00 to $78,000.00 annually
