Physical Therapist
About the Role
Physical Therapist at PCH serves as a resource and coordination point for ensuring a patient-centered, professional therapy practice environment that focuses on clinical competence, quality improvement, and standards of care to facilitate the highest quality of evidence-based therapy care.
Provides direct physical therapy care to patients who have been in accidents or have disabling conditions. Uses a variety of techniques to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities in patients. Supervises physical therapist assistants and/or physical therapy aides and collaborates with the entire PCH healthcare team and other therapies as appropriate.
Works closely with all members of the PT Department staff, the PCH healthcare team, and any outside resources/professionals to provide quality, professional therapy care and services.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource and coordination point for patient-centered therapy practice.
- Provide direct physical therapy care to patients with accidents or disabling conditions.
- Restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent physical disabilities.
- Supervise physical therapist assistants and/or physical therapy aides.
- Collaborate with the PCH healthcare team and external professionals to deliver quality care.
Requirements
- State of Montana Physical Therapy License.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in all aspects of physical therapy.
- Demonstrated leadership and commitment to continuing professional development.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Physical and Environmental Demands
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, or stoop.
- Sit and stand throughout the day.
