About the role
P4 Physical Therapy is looking for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to provide coverage in our outpatient clinic. If you are passionate about providing quality care and thrive in a supportive work environment, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the required physical therapy treatment
- Provide direct patient care following established protocols and patient care guidelines
- Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
- Oversee patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
- Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and create a comprehensive program to attain those goals
- Implement physical therapy treatment programs and provide essential physical therapy treatments
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies
- Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports
Requirements
- Graduate (or soon to be) from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist program
- Current state license or the ability to begin the licensing process promptly
- CPR certification
- Outpatient orthopedic experience, including exercise, manual-based skills, and sports rehabilitation, is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals
- Strong multi-tasking abilities to manage clinic operations effectively
- A self-starter mindset focused on growth and success
- A passion for providing quality patient care with a positive and compassionate approach
