As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will examine patients using fundamental clinical knowledge, implement a treatment plan, and execute the plan of care on a daily basis.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree required, Doctorate degree preferred
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state practicing in (NY, NJ)
- Completed state-regulated CEU requirement in appropriate state
- Valid CPR License
- Experience/knowledge with an EMR software is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work as a team member and individually with minimal supervision
- Maintains a positive, professional demeanor at all times
Responsibilities
- Collects and records patient care data following the format and guidelines of the patient care service, regulatory agencies, and third-party payers, including initial evaluation, daily notes, reassessments/progress reports, discharge plans, and communication with team members. Records daily billing and follows department productivity guidelines.
- Prepares for evaluations by obtaining patient history, exhibiting knowledge of diagnoses, and researching unfamiliar diagnoses. Selects and administers tests and measures, synthesizing results to formulate diagnosis, goals, prognosis, and plan of care.
- Establishes and modifies treatment plans based on evaluation results, goals, and best practices. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and their support systems.
- Assesses and re-assesses the need for modifications to the plan of care and goals. Identifies the need for consultations or referrals to other healthcare professionals or services.
- Initiates and completes discharge plans, providing education and training to patients and their support systems, including ADLs/IADLs, therapeutic activities (e.g., transfers, bed mobility), rehabilitation equipment prescription, and community reintegration.
- Responsible for treatment, plan of care, and exercise prescription for patient caseload. Provides safe, effective, and compliant interventions, including therapeutic exercise, joint mobilization, and modalities.
- Documents all treatments using Prompt EMR and oversees support staff, including PTAs, ATCs, and PT aides.
- Attends the annual JAG Billing and Coding seminar.
- Promotes JAG in the community through lectures and presentations.
