About the role
Join us at Highland Medical Center (HMC) in beautiful, rural Monterey, VA — where you can deliver high-quality care while enjoying the balance and serenity of life in the Virginia Western Highlands. We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to support our growing outpatient practice.
Responsibilities
- Treat a diverse caseload—approximately 80% orthopedic and 20% neurological—with an emphasis on geriatrics.
- Work in one of the most well-equipped therapy clinics in the region, featuring a spacious, fully stocked PT only gym, private treatment rooms, and supportive interdisciplinary teams.
- Build meaningful relationships in a rural, patient-centered environment.
- Practice in a modern and well-resourced facility.
- Serve a variety of patient populations, from children to older adults.
- Collaborate closely with an experienced and compassionate care team.
- Enjoy realistic productivity expectations and meaningful patient care.
- Provide exceptional care with 1-hour evaluations and 45-minute follow-up visits.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited PT program
- Current unrestricted Virginia Physical Therapy license
- BLS certification
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy, with comfort treating a range of ages
- A sincere interest in working with geriatric patients
- Strong documentation and EHR proficiency
