PRN position located in Goodland, KS.
About the Role
Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy treatment for inpatients, outpatients self-referred or referred by a licensed physician, physician assistant, or ARNP. Administers therapeutic exercise, functional training, and physical agents after referral by a physician in an effort to restore function, relieve pain, and reduce or prevent disability following injury or disease.
Responsibilities
- Direct the Physical Therapy Department certified staff, including Physical Therapist Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides; coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to supportive staff.
- Observe and evaluate treatment effects and recommend changes to physicians as needed.
- Perform appropriate assessments of all patients as related to the therapy requested and provide documentation and reassessments per policy, including adolescent and geriatric patients.
- Formulate and evaluate teaching plans based on identified learning needs, including family in teaching as appropriate.
- Demonstrate knowledge of physical therapy modalities and exercise equipment.
- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity; identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs.
- Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly; maintain department cleanliness and safety.
- Interact professionally with patients, families, physicians, staff, and the administrative team; involve patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
- Maintain records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department.
- Foster good working relationships within the department and with other departments.
- Ensure documentation meets current standards and policies.
- Assist with orientation and in-service training for certified department staff; participate in guidance and education programs.
- Provide evaluation of certified staff, including interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and termination.
- Adhere to dress code; maintain neat and clean appearance.
- Complete annual education and licensure requirements.
- Supervise operational aspects of the department, maintain performance quality and improvement activities, and manage the department budget.
- Work directly with providers regarding plan of care; consult regularly regarding significant changes in patients’ conditions that may warrant further care, imaging, or referrals.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or greater from an approved school of Physical Therapy.
- Current state license for Physical Therapy.
- Outpatient/Inpatient experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Working Environment
Mostly sedentary work within a medical office setting with some minor lifting and/or carrying involved in normal course of work duties. Clinic personnel are asked to assist in keeping work areas clean and uncluttered to provide a positive image for incoming patients and family members.

Pay
Salary Range: $43.27 to $51.77 hourly.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, weekend as needed.
