About the Role

Requirements

  • Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license (or license pending).
  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
  • Strong manual therapy and therapeutic exercise skills.
  • Experience developing evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload (approximately 14 patients per day).
  • Experience supervising Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and Physical Therapy Aides.
  • Proficient with EMR documentation and clinical record keeping.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with physicians, case managers, and patients.
  • Knowledge of the California Physical Therapy Practice Act.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, and reaching.
  • Workers' Compensation and return-to-work program experience (preferred).
  • Experience with ergonomic assessments and Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) (preferred).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Fully fluent in English.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and musculoskeletal assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Deliver hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, and other appropriate interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Manage an average daily caseload of approximately 14 patients.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
  • Supervise and mentor PTAs and Physical Therapy Aides in accordance with California regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, employers, and family members regarding patient care and discharge planning.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, documentation requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-focused, and collaborative clinical environment.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and customer service.

Pay

USD 115K/year
