Schedule
Variable – Two evenings per week | Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, treat, and create an appropriate plan of care (POC) for the post-surgical orthopaedic patient.
- Administer treatment based on approved physician orthopaedic protocols and patient tolerance in the outpatient setting; set the frequency and duration for the POC; monitor patient's progress, and direct Physical Therapist Assistants.
- Consult with physicians, nursing team, case management, and all other interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide patient and family education; maintain records and process appropriate charges.
- Administer various physical therapy treatments to patients based on physician orders; assist in keeping patient-related records and preparing reports.
Requirements
- Education: Doctorate or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor's Degree and certificate in Physical Therapy.
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in the field or profession preferred.
- License/Certification: Current license issued by the Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy/Athletic Trainers Board to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Ohio. BLS required.
