Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to assigned students following the service delivery and goals established by the IEP
• Develop and document treatment plans to meet standards of ethical practice and Medicaid in Public Schools standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews to educate and problem-solve with all team members
• Complete daily documentation of sessions to meet standards of ethical practice and Medicaid in Public Schools standards
• Support lunch as a member of the Feeding Team - supporting students in safely navigating the lunchroom and engaging in social interactions during meal time
• Provide individual and/or group therapy as well as integrated services as clinically indicated
• Provide consultation and work in collaboration with classroom staff
• Write assigned sections of student IEPs and participate in IEP meetings
• Communicate with families as needed

Qualifications

Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of [State]

Experience working in a school-based setting preferred

Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Strong communication skills

Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques
