Physical Therapist
About the Role
As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. You will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments while consistently meeting patient care productivity standards.
You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment. A strong age-appropriate competency, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assessment, care planning, patient treatment, and education according to professional practice guidelines defined by state and professional sources.
- Work as a collaborative team member to develop a coordinated care plan accountable to established goals.
- Complete all required documentation and billing requirements according to local, state, and federal law.
- Apply measurable quality metrics associated with the area of active practice.
- Attend team meetings to discuss and improve program evaluation and quality measures.
- Supervise physical therapy assistants and techs according to local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Stay current with evidence-based practice guidelines and new research, serving as a professional resource to other team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Science (MS), Master of Physical Therapy (MPT), or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) upon hire.
- Physical Therapist license in Iowa (IA) upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification upon hire.
Preferred: Experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
