Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
  • Conduct initial evaluations, identify primary impairments, and use appropriate outcome measures.
  • Provide therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, home evaluations with recommendations, orthotic and assistive device recommendations, and therapeutic home programs.
  • Engage patients in mobility exercises, neurodevelopment sequence exercises, flexibility exercises, and extremity manipulations.
  • Assist patients with brain injuries in navigating different surfaces, including hills, stairs, and uneven terrain, providing all levels of assistance as needed.
  • Use modalities such as hot packs, cold packs, "Omni stim" units, neuromuscular stimulation units, transcutaneous nerve stimulation units, and perform light and deep massage to relieve pain.
  • Continuously monitor patient progress and update treatment programs through interim evaluations.
  • Supervise clinic aides, instruct them on daily treatment plans, and provide guidance.
  • Supervise students and share expertise.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Consult with patients, insurance representatives, families, and therapists from various disciplines to provide guidance and information.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of employment.
  • Membership in APTA is desirable.

Pay

The salary for this role ranges from $96,000 to $132,000 per year, determined by skills, experience, education, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs.
