Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
- Conduct initial evaluations, identify primary impairments, and use appropriate outcome measures.
- Provide therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, home evaluations with recommendations, orthotic and assistive device recommendations, and therapeutic home programs.
- Engage patients in mobility exercises, neurodevelopment sequence exercises, flexibility exercises, and extremity manipulations.
- Assist patients with brain injuries in navigating different surfaces, including hills, stairs, and uneven terrain, providing all levels of assistance as needed.
- Use modalities such as hot packs, cold packs, "Omni stim" units, neuromuscular stimulation units, transcutaneous nerve stimulation units, and perform light and deep massage to relieve pain.
- Continuously monitor patient progress and update treatment programs through interim evaluations.
- Supervise clinic aides, instruct them on daily treatment plans, and provide guidance.
- Supervise students and share expertise.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Consult with patients, insurance representatives, families, and therapists from various disciplines to provide guidance and information.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of employment.
- Membership in APTA is desirable.
Pay
The salary for this role ranges from $96,000 to $132,000 per year, determined by skills, experience, education, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs.
