Physical Therapist

About the role

The Physical Therapist assesses patients' strengths and weaknesses to develop effective treatment plans that promote healing, pain management, and functional independence. They maintain patient confidentiality, operate in a positive environment, and provide encouragement to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and select appropriate tests to formulate diagnoses.
• Create and adjust treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and support systems on therapeutic activities, exercises, and equipment use.
• Document care, manage billing, and maintain productivity standards.
• Supervise support staff such as PT aides and therapists.
• Participate in community outreach and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physical Therapy (doctorate preferred).
• State licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certification.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Experience with EMR software is preferred.
