About the Role

Arc Broward is seeking a Physical Therapist to work with our 3-5 year old students who have developmental disabilities and other health impairments. Positions available are per diem, part-time, or full-time (with benefits), Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality physical therapy services including assessment, therapeutic treatment planning, and service delivery using best practice treatment modalities for children.
  • Facilitate age-appropriate independence in gross motor coordination, balance, strengthening activities, and motor planning activities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and monitor the progress of each child through data analysis, making necessary modifications.
  • Evaluate physical and social environmental conditions for optimal function, learning, independence, health, and stability.
  • Demonstrate and model effective and therapeutic intervention strategies.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to staff for continuity and generalization across settings.
  • Collaborate with all members of the child’s team.
  • Assess, recommend, and ensure children are provided with proper adaptive equipment.

Requirements

  • Physical therapy degree from an accredited university.
  • State PT license.
