Responsibilities
- Aid in the implementation of physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
- Work with residents to enhance their mobility, strength, and physical function.
- Support residents in recovering from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses through physical therapy exercises and techniques.
- Help residents improve their balance, coordination, and functional mobility to achieve greater independence.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments, progress, and documentation to comply with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in care planning meetings to review resident progress and adjust therapy goals.
- Educate residents and their families on mobility strategies, injury prevention, and rehabilitation exercises.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school with an associate degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Certification by the State of Wisconsin to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

- Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
