Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient

CJ Physical Therapy & Pilates · Portsmouth, NH · 1 wk ago
On-siteHealthcareFull-time

We're seeking a highly motivated PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) who is not afraid to "roll up their sleeves" and jump in to help when demand is at its highest. Must be a fully licensed PTA in the state of NH.

About the Company

CJ Physical Therapy & Pilates is not your typical physical therapy or health care office. We specialize in helping people stay active, healthy and mobile—without pain pills or procedures—so they can do the activities they love instead of sitting in the doctor's office. We use physical therapy and Pilates to empower people through movement, so they feel more confident in their bodies and with trying new things! We are also completely cash-based and do not contract with any insurance companies.

You get to:

  • Support our full-time PTs by assisting with clients and learning from their complex cases
  • Perform Shockwave therapy treatments on clients in a variable daily schedule (training provided)
  • Learn and support the front office team with scheduling and future pacing of client needs
  • See a reasonable caseload of 6-8 patients per day (pending successful 6-month training program with one of our specialists)
  • Have one-on-one mentorship and training meetings every week—no matter your experience or skill level
  • Nurture your competitive side and celebrate the "Wins!" of helping clients make the best decisions for their health as a result of the 5-star experience and education you provide them

Who Should Apply

  • Someone who is truly passionate about physical therapy and wants to make a real transformation in people's lives
  • Someone who is looking to work in an environment that is NOT a traditional outpatient clinic—and that is fun and feels like a family
  • Someone who wants to learn and be mentored—we spend dedicated time every week just to practice skills and discuss tough cases (new grads, please apply!)
  • Someone who likes the idea of being able to grow and advance within a company—you're getting in on the ground floor of a rapidly growing clinic
  • Someone who wants a small clinic feel but operates with big business ideas
  • Someone who enjoys having an office pup around—we have a very friendly, super-awesome office dog

What We're Looking For

  • A full or part-time personal trainer or physical therapist assistant who has Pilates experience (not required) to join our growing, hard-working, and family-like team
  • The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of outpatient job experience, be highly motivated, and ready to soak up information
  • Someone who is upbeat, friendly, and who truly loves people—our practice model is based first and foremost on providing a world-class client experience
  • Someone who knows how to quickly build trust and is motivated to form long-lasting relationships with clients
  • New grads are welcome—you will get unbelievable amounts of training and mentorship

Skills, Attributes, and Competencies Required

  • Thirst for learning and continued growth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A proactive nature and work ethic: ability to act without being told what to do and bring new ideas to the company
  • Ability to think on your feet
  • Ability to translate complex concepts in a way that patients can easily understand
  • Ability to easily build and develop trust, therapeutic alliance, and great relationships with clients
  • Self and professional accountability: go the extra mile when needed, seek out information when you have to, maintain all necessary licenses to practice
  • Excitement, love, and passion for helping others and for the growth of our company

Benefits

  • Outstanding work culture
  • Full benefits and paid-time off for full-time employees, including:
    • 401K with company matching
    • 3 weeks PTO including the week between Christmas and New Years (we are closed)
    • Employee parking reimbursed
  • Partial benefits available for part-time employees
  • Excellent growth and advancement opportunities
  • Opportunity to work in a truly unique, growing, and innovative practice model
  • No insurance companies to deal with
  • Brand new, open-concept, downtown location with amazing restaurants, coffee shops, and hang-outs nearby
  • Reasonable and realistic productivity standards that allow for work-life balance
  • Opportunities to practice skills, be mentored, and discuss tough cases—on company time
  • Office dog!
  • Fun—we work hard but play hard too
