About the role
Yoakum Community Hospital is seeking a motivated, full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated patient care team. Working closely with our Physical Therapist, you will provide hands-on treatments, therapeutic massages, and targeted exercises to help patients of all ages—from pediatrics to geriatrics—restore mobility and improve their overall well-being. You will also play a vital role in guiding and educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and recovery plans. To excel in this role, you should possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for helping others, and a solid understanding of age-specific developmental needs. Requirements
- Associate's degree (A.A.) in a Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited college or university
- Valid and current Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong desire to help others and make a positive impact
- Knowledge of growth and development across different age groups
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
