About the role

We seek a PTA who is passionate about delivering the best possible care for our patients and residents. We see a diverse patient population with orthopedic, neurological and cognitive conditions and are seeking a clinician who loves to create and implement programs to address these conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed therapists in providing physical therapy treatments to patients and residents.
  • Perform assessments and develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide patient education and training on exercises and activities.
  • Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare team members.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Current Texas PTA license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program.
  • Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation setting preferred.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.

Skills

  • Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities.
  • Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
