About the role
We seek a PTA who is passionate about delivering the best possible care for our patients and residents. We see a diverse patient population with orthopedic, neurological and cognitive conditions and are seeking a clinician who loves to create and implement programs to address these conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed therapists in providing physical therapy treatments to patients and residents.
- Perform assessments and develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide patient education and training on exercises and activities.
- Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare team members.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Current Texas PTA license.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program.
- Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).
- Experience working in a skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation setting preferred.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
Skills
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities.
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
