About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated in-house therapy team at Avir at Paris. We provide a range of services including orthopedic and neurological care, with opportunities to develop programming in areas such as cognition, functional mobility, balance, and wound care. Our facility offers a smaller, homey environment where we work as a family-like team. We provide ongoing training and career development opportunities, as well as growth and advancement within our growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in providing patient care
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs
- Perform therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patient function
- Monitor patient progress and report findings to supervising therapists
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education programs
Requirements
- Current Texas License
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
- At least one year of relevant experience preferred
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in computer software and electronic health records
- Pass a background check and drug screening

- Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
