Position Overview

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant located in Monroe. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $33-44 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment programs
• Develops and implements treatment plans
• Serves as a supervisor for assistants and aides
• Contributes to case management and provides quality patient care
• Maintains positive interactions with facilities and clients
• Enhances client relationships with facilities and staff

Requirements

• Valid state license (where applicable)
• Graduation from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants
• Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant through a recognized examination
• State license and/or certification must be valid in the practice location
• CPR certification required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift patients using biomedical techniques frequently throughout the work day/shift
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds alone
• Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction
• Speech and hearing sufficient to understand and give directions
• Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility
• Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients, equipment, and supplies for treatment
• Able to sustain activities for many hours in accordance with state labor laws
