Responsibilities
- Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
- Aid in the execution of patient evaluations and complex treatment procedures.
- Provide education to patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Contribute to ongoing program evaluation and development.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided.
- Maintain a working knowledge of and adhere to the Physical Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas required.
- Pass all pre-employment and employment verifications.
