About the role
The Physical Therapy Assistant position at Ecumen North Branch assists physical therapists in implementing patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength.
Responsibilities
- Administers manual exercises and instructs patients on performing physical activities, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
- Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, providing normal growth and development information, promoting wellness, and health maintenance.
- Documents patient care services during therapy sessions, measures and tracks range of motion.
- Interviews patients, performs physical examinations, and reviews therapy history.
- Cleans and prepares equipment for therapy sessions, straightens and cleans rooms, keeps supplies organized, and manages equipment maintenance.
- Maintains individual license/certification renewals and other professional certifications as applicable.
- Manages and maintains individual license/certification renewals and when applicable other professional certifications.
- Follows guidelines/requirements set by CMS, federal and state regulations, and meets requirements set by other payors (insurance companies).

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Licensure/Certification: as required by the state.
- Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations including ability to work irregular hours, attend meetings and special events.
- Able to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years previous experience in home health, hospice or senior care.

Pay
The targeted pay range for this job is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
Schedule
PRN/Casual - Weekday Shifts 8am-4:30pm
