About You
We're looking for a PTA who is passionate about patient care, orthopaedics, and rehabilitation. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient therapy setting and finds purpose in helping patients get back to living their best lives. Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Active Florida PTA license
- Current CPR certification
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and motivated to help people achieve their rehab goals
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
What You’ll Do
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you’ll play a key role in outpatient therapy, sports medicine, and physical rehabilitation. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you’ll help patients recover from orthopaedic injuries, post-surgical procedures, and musculoskeletal conditions. Day-to-day Responsibilities Include:
- Providing individualized patient treatments as outlined in the Physical Therapist’s plan of care.
- Documenting each visit with treatment notes, progress updates, and patient assessments.
- Instructing patients in exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and safe use of assistive devices.
- Guiding patients through gait training and mobility exercises.
- Communicating patient status changes promptly to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Serving as a clinical instructor and mentor for PTA students.
- Supporting the therapy team and clinic operations as needed.
