Job Summary
Aids patients/residents/clients in performing therapy activities and exercises as per a treatment plan, supervised by a physical therapist. Implements and modifies therapeutic activities based on patient's/resident's/client's goals and the setting's requirements. Shares information with the physical therapist regarding the patient's/resident's/client's progress.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an APTA-approved Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the relevant state(s)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of employment
Department Details
The Skilled Rehab team at Good Samaritan Algona and Forest City is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support their in-house therapy model. The position covers Skilled Nursing Facilities and treats conditions such as orthopedic, weakness, balance/falls/gait, cervical/back pain, and others. New graduates are welcome.
