Job Summary
Aids patients/residents/clients in therapy activities and exercises as per a treatment plan, supervised by a physical therapist. Implements and modifies therapeutic activities based on competency, patient goals, and setting requirements. Shares information with and documents patient progress to the physical therapist. Performs other duties as requested.
About the Role
The Skilled Rehab team at Good Samaritan Algona and Forest City is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support in-house therapy operations. This role focuses on post-acute, long-term care, and outpatient settings, treating conditions such as orthopedic, weakness, balance/falls/gait, cervical/back pain, and others. New graduates are welcome, and the position involves transitioning from contract to in-house therapy models.

Qualifications
- Appropriate education level for state licensure
- Graduate from an APTA-approved Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the relevant state(s)
- BLS certification required within six months of employment
- Valid driver's license when applicable

Pay & Schedule
- $24.00 - $38.50 hourly
- $10,000 sign-on bonus
- Full-time, 30-35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
