Responsibilities

• Implement selected components of patient interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications as directed by the physical therapist.
• Provide quality physical therapy services including implementation of the treatment plan established by the patient’s physical therapist.
• Accurately document patient progress, changes in treatment, and recommended medical follow-up.
• Communicate patient treatment progression, changes, and recommended medical follow-up to team members as appropriate.
• Educate and counsel patients regarding treatment, safety risks, and other issues within scope of practice.
• Participate in team reassessments and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• AA or higher degree as Physical Therapist Assistant from an institution accredited by Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
• Current State Physical Therapist Assistant License.
• CPR certification.
