Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Delivers Physical Therapy and related services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
• Implements treatment plans.
• Supervises Rehab Technicians (as applicable).
• Manages patient cases.
• Supports patients in improving functional abilities and skills under the guidance of a licensed PT.
• Contributes to the development and sustainability of a robust physical therapy program.
• Advances clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuing education.
• Maintains a current and valid state license and stays informed on developments in physical therapy and healthcare.
• Understands and applies appropriate billing practices and treatment delivery models, ensuring care meets clinical and regulatory standards.
• Follows infection control and environmental safety protocols within the facility.
• Demonstrates proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation.
• Maintains confidentiality as appropriate and ensures compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where you are licensed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
