Physical Therapist Assistant

About the role

At CPTE, Physical Therapist Assistants are valued members of our clinical team. You'll partner with Physical Therapists to deliver personalized, evidence-based care that helps patients achieve their goals while building lasting relationships in a collaborative outpatient practice committed to exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving strength, mobility, balance, coordination, endurance, and overall function
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic activities, and functional movement training
  • Assist patients with gait training, transfers, mobility activities, and other functional tasks as appropriate
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and updates with the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs, injury prevention strategies, and healthy movement patterns to support long-term outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems in compliance with company and state standards
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists, front office staff, and support teams to deliver an exceptional patient experience
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through mentorship, continuing education, and clinical collaboration opportunities
  • Build meaningful relationships with patients and colleagues to support a positive, team-oriented clinic culture

Qualifications

  • Active New Hampshire PTA license in good standing (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Ability to build positive relationships with patients of all ages and activity levels
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
  • Experience in outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, and functional rehabilitation
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
