Physical Therapist/Area Manager
Position Purpose and Objectives
Summit Care is currently seeking a Physical Therapist/Area Manager to lead multiple therapy departments in Central Kansas. This role offers opportunities for personal and professional growth, including travel requirements and a sign-on bonus.
Essential Job Functions
- Support the mission, values, and vision of Summit Care and its partnerships
- Provide therapy department performance review and analysis, including fiscal budgetary objectives
- Supervise, manage, and train Rehab Directors in financial aspects of site management
- Develop clinical programs and ensure quality patient care services
- Evaluate Rehab Directors and oversee new clinical site implementation
- Participate in professional development through educational seminars
- Address therapy department problems, needs, and solutions promptly
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Provide marketing assistance and support multidisciplinary coordination
- Timely response to concerns across all areas of responsibility
- Support and encourage team members as needed
- May require clinical treatment time and additional assignments
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Active Physical Therapy license to practice in Kansas
- Multiple site management experience, particularly in long-term settings preferred
- Current Driver’s License
Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises all Rehab Directors in the assigned area.
Working Conditions
The Area Manager works in multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities, requiring travel between facilities. The environment can be crowded and noisy, and the job may involve working in a shared workspace with other employees.
Physical Demands
The Area Manager must consistently walk, stand, sit, lift equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, talk, and hear. They must also lift and reposition patients and may need to perform clinical treatment time and additional assignments.
