About the role
Vori Health is a virtual-first, musculoskeletal medical practice dedicated to evidence-based care. As a Vori Health Physical Therapist, you will be part of a care team that includes a nonoperative physical medicine and sports physician, a health coach, and a physical therapist. Your responsibilities include making sure patients receive the best care possible, coordinating care, and helping them achieve their health goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patients are screened appropriately for concerning symptoms or findings and refer them to other Vori healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Perform initial and ongoing digital physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards and state standards.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical decision-making using a biopsychosocial model to develop and implement a Plan of Treatment for each patient.
- Manage the Plan of Treatment consistently according to patient progress and document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility procedures.
- Communicate and assist other Vori care team members as needed to provide comprehensive care.
- Supervise and oversee the work of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
Requirements
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree.
- Active, unencumbered PT license in your home state.
- At least 3 years of experience in digital care or outpatient physical therapy clinic evaluating and treating patients with a range of musculoskeletal pain conditions.
- Experience or certification in pelvic floor physical therapy or a related specialization is a plus.
- Proven record of continuing education and/or post-graduate training in relevant areas.
- Competence and passion for digital care delivery or telehealth.
- Strong experience administering a wide range of physical therapy techniques delivered digitally.
- A strong sense of empathy and the ability to motivate patients into pushing their limits in a responsible, safe way.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Critical thinking skills, flexibility, and the ability to design innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working within an environment of rapid pace and constant change.
