About the role
Vori Health is a virtual-first, musculoskeletal medical practice dedicated to evidence-based care. As a Vori Health Physical Therapist, you will be part of a care team that includes a nonoperative physical medicine and sports physician, a health coach, and a physical therapist. You will manage initial patient assessments and coordinate care with the care team to achieve patient-centered goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patients are screened appropriately for concerning symptoms or findings and refer them to other Vori healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Perform initial and ongoing digital physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards and state standards.
- Demonstrate excellent and clear clinical decision-making using a biopsychosocial model to develop and implement a Plan of Treatment.
- Collaborate with other Vori team members to manage patient progress and adjust the Plan of Treatment as needed.
- Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility procedures.
- Communicate with other Vori care team members as needed to provide care and ensure an orderly treatment process.
- Oversee and supervise the work of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to ensure they deliver safe and effective patient care.
Requirements
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree and active, unencumbered PT license in your home state.
- At least 3 years of experience in digital care or outpatient physical therapy clinic evaluating and treating patients with a range of musculoskeletal pain conditions.
- Experience in pelvic floor physical therapy or a related specialization is a nice-to-have.
- Completion of the APTA telehealth certificate course series.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to create effective therapeutic alliances with patients and provide exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
