Physical Security Systems Manager
Role Summary
We're looking for a Physical Security Systems Manager who will be responsible for the strategic administration, maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle management of 5C Data Centers' physical security technology infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, availability, and compliance of all access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, key management, and supporting security systems across the data center portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director of Physical Security, the Physical Security Systems Manager serves as the primary technical leader for physical security systems, driving technology standards, vendor performance, system integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position partners closely with Operations, IT, Construction, Facilities, Compliance, and external service providers to support business growth while maintaining the highest levels of security and operational resilience.
What You Will Do
- Security Systems Administration & Operations
- Maintain the integrity, availability, and security of all physical security platforms and supporting infrastructure including access control, video management, and intrusion detection.
- Perform system health monitoring to verify the availability and performance of servers, workstations, applications, databases, and field devices, while managing user accounts, permissions, authentication methods, and periodic access reviews.
- Infrastructure & Technology Strategy
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable security system architectures across new and existing data center environments.
- Ensure systems are configured in accordance with cybersecurity, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Project Management & Deployment
- Lead security technology projects from planning through implementation and handoff.
- Manage the deployment, installation, and commissioning of new security systems, servers, workstations, and field devices.
- Vendor & Financial Management
- Manage relationships with security integrators, manufacturers, service providers, and support vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance, service-level agreements (SLAs), and contract compliance.
- Compliance, Business Continuity & Risk Management
- Support regulatory, customer, and internal audit requirements related to physical security systems, while performing system backups, recovery testing, and continuity planning activities.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for security technology infrastructure.
- On-Call Support
- Provide after-hours support and escalation management for critical security system issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
What You Bring
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Data Center Experience: 3–5 years of experience working in a data center environment.
- Physical Security Systems Experience: Minimum of 8 years administering, installing, maintaining, and managing enterprise physical security systems, including: DMP Intrusion Detection Systems, Milestone XProtect Video Management Systems, Software House CCURE 9000 or comparable enterprise access control platforms, Intercom and communication systems, High-security key management and restricted keyway programs.
- Leadership Experience: 3–5 years in a leadership, project management, or program management role.
- Vendor Management: Experience managing third-party service providers and security system integrators.
- Environment Experience: Experience supporting mission-critical facilities, data centers, or high-security environments.
