Physical Security Specialist III

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated program security support. Security support will include personnel and physical security for program personnel, spaces, and activities.
• Respond to alarms and after hours facility issues.
• Act as Insider Threat Prevention Officer and maintain the insider threat program.
• Ensure compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, and applicable customer-specific security requirements
• Engage and advise the Facilities Security Officer on security related initiatives by identifying issues that potentially impact business operations
• Affords assistance to the Facilities Security Officer in creating and executing a robust and comprehensive security education program by ensuring program personnel receive the necessary training.
• Report and investigate security incidents specific to their assigned program and recommend mitigations to the Facilities Security Officer.
• Develops, implements and administers an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations
• Affords assistance to the Facilities Security Officer in managing semi-annual alarm/guard response testing, physical security checks and onsite tasks as needed. Maintains cleared/uncleared visitor logs and performs entry and exit inspections
• Provides employees with personnel security guidance as mandated by SEAD 3 reporting requirements and assists with managing new employee clearance requests and updates

Requirements

• High school diploma and five years + of industrial security-related experience in a cleared facility
• Exceptional time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to achieve goals and targets while handling multiple tasks
• Experience with conducting security briefings, debriefings and have the ability to clearly explain security processes and procedures
• Experience implementing multiple security disciplines to include Personnel, Physical, Communications and Operations Security programs and requirements
• Ability to communicate and interact professionally and courteously both orally and in writing with all levels of employees, management and customers
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Need to possess a US Secret clearance or be able to obtain one within 6 months of employment
